Discover the vegetable garden of the world famous Málaga Bodega El Pimpi. Watch Sr. Pepe Cobos, one of the founders of the company explain how the bodega grows their own vegetables. What kind of tomatoes they grow and why they prepare them the way they do. With their great pride being the huevo de toro tomato. A gigantic meat tomato that is not chopped but served as a steak.
Pepe also talks about the philosophy of El Pimpi. ““The most important aspects for us were culture, tradition and supporting charities.” He believes that a rich village without culture is poor and a poor village with culture is rich.
The other founder sold his share of the El Pimpi Bodega to Antonio Banderas. Who also seems to have his Malaga residence on the left side above the bodega. What strikes us when filming is the obvious cultural feeling that is just everywhere and the awesome vibe that everybody working there gives out. From the waiters, the cooks to the people doing the dishes. They for us make it extra special and elevate the Bodega to what it is today.
